Would Huntelaar shine at United

Real Madrid striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar would shine as a Manchester United player, according to former Ipswich and United midfielder Arnold Muhren.

And Muhren, who made 70 appearances for the Red Devils from 1982-85 - winning the FA Cup twice - is confident the striker would be a huge success at Old Trafford working with Wayne Rooney, Dimitar Berbatov and Michael Owen.

"The way the market has gone this summer then Klaas-Jan would be an absolute bargain," he told the Manchester Evening News.

"If United are looking to replace the goals lost through Ronaldo's sale then Huntelaar comes as near as you can get with a guarantee to score them.

"He's a goalscorer. Very, very dangerous in the box. He scored 76 league goals in 92 appearances for Ajax and despite what some people might tell you, that is not easy.

"He would be another good option for United with Michael Owen, Wayne Rooney and Dimitar Berbatov.

"Owen is fast over the first two or three yards and can win the balls put over the top. Rooney is a great talent and works hard and scores goals. I love Berbatov's kind of arrogant style. With Huntelaar added to that department it would be a great mix."

Dont we need a goal scorer thought? We have Rooney for quality with the ball, Berbatov for skill, and Owen for goals, but Owen cant play every game...

Are you sure Macheda and Welbeck will make it? I watched Macheda so many times in the reserves and I just dont feel he will break through, and Welbeck I have the same feeling, I would not mind another goalscorer.

Both guys have the potention to be a good prof for United

Yes the both do have potential, but I hope they are not just another Rossi, as he was the best reserve player in the reserve league but could not break through.
