Manchester United may have conquered the Premier League these past three seasons, but seizing an unprecedented fourth successive English top-flight title will be no mean feat. The Red Devils have lost Cristiano Ronaldo and Carlos Tevez, and Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City are vehemently threatening to break their rule.

Liverpool will kick-off proceedings fresh from their best campaign in the Premier League era - and that despite missing Fernando Torres for a lengthy period. With Steven Gerrard pulling the strings, they took 31 points from their last possible 33 to finish just four shy of United.

Chelsea also ended the previous term strongly to run home in third. Having retained coveted stars John Terry and Didier Drogba, and added Yuri Zhirkov, new manager Carlo Ancelotti is optimistic he can return the trophy to Stamford Bridge.

With Cesc Fabregas, Andrei Arshavin and Robin van Persie firmly established, and a plethora of captivating young gems at his disposal, Arsene Wenger believes the time has come for his Arsenal side to realise its potential.

Manchester City, for their part, have made their title intentions apparent in the form of a colossal spending spree that has taken Kolo Toure, Gareth Barry, Carlos Tevez, Emmanuel Adebayor and Roque Santa Cruz to Eastlands.

United's challenge will again be reliant on the likes of Rio Ferdinand, Nemanja Vidic and Wayne Rooney, while Luis Antonio Valencia and Michael Owen have boosted Sir Alex Ferguson's options.

Agreed, I think United will pull away in the next few weeks, drop a few points in February/March but eventually win by 3 points...
