Usain: I'm Man U nuts n' bolts
![]() Usain Bolt says his Manchester United heroes are on the fast track to Carling Cup final glory. The world's quickest man will be a keen viewer as United face Aston Villa tomorrow. And he insisted: "I want to be celebrating at the end." But the Jamaican admits his Red Devil worship has left him feeling frustrated this season. Bolt, 23, said: "When it comes to January normally we play superbly all the way to the end. "This time it's been up and down. We haven't found that right XI which blends together, although there have been injuries." Bolt and his mates will gather round the TV at his Kingston home at 10am Caribbean time for kick-off. The famously laid-back athlete nearly threw his spikes through the screen last weekend as Alex Ferguson's men capitulated at Everton - especially as he was up before 8am to watch. Then Bolt was late for training on Tuesday because he was watching United's Premier League victory over West Ham. The Olympic, world champion and double world record holder over 100m and 200m may be supremely confident about his ability to beat the opposition in his own sport - but he does not have quite the same faith in United at the moment. Bolt said: "Whenever Michael Carrick and Darren Fletcher are together in midfield, I feel much better. "I also prefer two up front rather than Wayne Rooney on his own - even though he has done very well in that role this season. "The problem is who the other striker should be because Dimitar Berbatov hasn't done it. "We need him to step up. We were looking for big things from him but he has been disappointing. "Our back four has been the main problem, though. We might play five games well and when it comes to the next important one we mess up. "If Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand were playing together, we would be all right but, unfortunately, that isn't happening." Like every United fan, Bolt gives thanks for Rooney who now has 27 goals after his midweek double. Bolt, speaking after signing a two-book deal with publishers HarperCollins to write his amazing life story, added: "Wayne has shown what it is to step up with the character of a champion. "He has taken on the big responsibility since Ronaldo left. "In team sports if the main guy leaves, it's up to others to say 'Listen, it's my time' and that's what he's done." Bolt has been a United fan since watching them on a grainy TV set as a kid. Ruud van Nistelrooy was his first Old Trafford hero and last year he met the squad at their Carrington training base. Bolt saw United clinch the Premier League title with a 0-0 home draw against Arsenal. He said: "I had my video camera with me and recorded everything. Rooney was in goal during training, made a save and then said, 'Make sure you put that on YouTube!' "I've still got all the video of that trip, it's one of my most favourite things."
