USA coach Bradley inspired by Ferguson and Moyes
![]() Heard the one about the two Scotsmen helping to plot England’s World Cup downfall? The United States have taken inspiration from Sir Alex Ferguson and David Moyes – and Fabio Capello’s advice could come back to haunt him if USA coach Bob Bradley masterminds a Group C shock on Saturday. Bradley has visited a number of Premier League clubs and was particularly struck by Ferguson’s approach at Manchester United. USA skipper Landon Donovan spent 10 weeks on loan at Everton last season and is convinced Toffees boss Moyes will be supporting him and his team-mates against England. “My guess is after learning how the English and Scottish are that David Moyes will be rooting for us,” said Donovan. “My experience at Everton was great, facing players we will play against on Saturday and getting to know their style. All of that is beneficial.” Bradley has been given plenty of help from Ferguson and said: “I have watched United train, play and spent some time with Sir Alex. He is inspirational. Everything that goes on in that club, you can see his personality in it. When you have a chance to watch people like that and speak to them it is special. “If you can build not only a system of playing and a professionalism, but also a family environment where everyone feels part of it, that’s huge. I will always be grateful to Sir Alex. The Premier League managers all have their backgrounds and people they root for.” CDev, proud to be a member of ManUnitedZone.co.uk since June 09 |
