Cole To Snub Arsenal For United
Rumours have surfaced that Joe Cole has told close friends that he wants to join Manchester United!
The England star will become a free agent next Wednesday when his contract with Chelsea expires. The 28 year old midfielder had been expected to join Arsenal but it now seems likely that Wenger will miss out on the ace to his rival at Old Trafford. Ferguson has always been an admirer of Cole, publicly stating his interest, and looks set to get his signature ahead of both Spurs boss Harry Redknapp and Real Madrid chief Jose Mourinho. RE: Cole To Snub Arsenal For United
Update:
After constant speculation about Joe Cole's future, it seems Man Utd will NOT pursue interest for the winger. The 28 year old midfielder was released by Chelsea this month after disagreements with the club and manager. Even before his Stamford Bridge exit, Cole had been linked with several other Premier League clubs including both London rivals, Arsenal and Tottenham, who are now favourites to sign him. Although United manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, has been a long-time admirer of Cole, a senior club source from Old Trafford has said that Ferguson would not be making a summer move to sign Cole.
